CPM & IAC Spokane Join St. Patrick’s Day Parade!

April 22, 2022

The original owners of Central Pre-Mix, the Murphy family, hailed from Ireland. So naturally, CPM Spokane has been participating in the Spokane St. Patrick’s Day Parade since 1978. In the 1980s, the company started painting one mixer with shamrocks and the words Erin go Bragh (Éirinn go Brách in Irish Gaelic), which means “Ireland Forever”. Driving that mixer has always been considered an honor at CPM. The Murphy family were named Irishmen of the Year in 1990 and led the parade.

Over the years, the parade became more prominent, and the company’s presence grew, including the addition of two restored antique international mixers, 1936 and 1954. Sister companies Inland Asphalt and Interstate Asphalt & Concrete now attend as well.

The 2022 event was extra special after a two-year shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A large contingent of employees from all three companies and their friends and families turned out to celebrate and spread cheer this year.

After a long winter, this event coincides nicely with the start of our busy season. It is an excellent way for everyone to come together and celebrate with our customers and the Spokane community. We are already signed up for 2023 and hope to see everyone there!
